Woodstock our Dog

Or in my case.....Pets

Woodstock
I'm so cute!
Do you think I might be a little spoiled?

Our dog is named Woodstock. He is a crazy Sheltie. He is cute and so loving. Most everyone other than close family and friends would beg to differ. He acts like a "pyscho killer dog" around others. That is the nickname he was given by the people on our street.

Woodstock and camping dog

Woodstock trying to make friends with the neighbor dog when we were camping one time.

My sister Juanita and Blossom!

Juanita holding Blossom

I got Blossom as a gift. She lived in Ripley's old crate at first but after 5 hours was litter trained!

She'd run up to Ripley lunging at his chest. Ripley would look at her and think "Who do you think you are you little ...". Blossom was gutsy. She didn't like to be held. She bit my neck once. She was done being held and was just trying to let me know I suppose.

At night when trying to get her back into her crate she'd hide under the couch. A nightly event! I finally figured out she would go in there on her own if I just left the door open and ignored her.

After a while I relocated her to the flower shop. Our customers loved to watch her, especially the kids. There was a man named Ted who visited us every day. He was over 50 but mentally he was like a 10 year old. Ted was our friend and he loved Blossom very much. Everyday on his way out he walked by Blossom's crate and talked to her. One day he passed by her and said to me, "BLOSSOM DOESN'T LOOK TOO PERKY TODAY". I went over to them and Blossom just lay there in a strange position and did not move. She was on her stomach and all four legs were spread out. I opened the crate and touched her and knew she was dead. I could not believe it. I have no idea why she died. I had heard that rabbits do that sometimes. YEAH, BLOSSOM WAS DEFINITELY NOT TOO PERKY THAT DAY!

I JUST KNOW I AM
I'm so gorgeous!
THE REASON THEY EXIST!

Woodstock and Affy

Woodstock meet Affa Davit, your cousin. Affy for short.

Where is that dog that looks like me?
Hey where did he go?
He's not in here? I don't get it???

Woodstock attacks any mirror he sees. It is a riot.

I LOVE MY DADDY!

Hello!

Hello again!

"Hey guys, look up here!" Woodstock and his little baby Woodstock friend Hunter.

MAN, I'VE HAD A HARD DAY!

Looking for something?

My last dog was an Irish Setter named Ripley.

Ripley

Ripley was a cool dog. He went to puppy school right away. He had his own yard with an invisible gate. You should've seen him when I would open the back door to let him come in. He'd stand there and look at me and not take one step until I said the magic word "okay". You'd swear there was really a gate there.

He was not only obedient and beautiful, he had a great disposition. He could have been special ordered if that would have even been possible. I miss him sometimes! I had Ripley & Woodstock at the same time for about 6 weeks. Someone told me perhaps Woodstock would bring new life into Ripley and that Ripley would teach Woodstock neat, new things! Neither happened. Woodstock remained a wild and crazy new puppy and Ripley just tolerated The Woodstockhead.

I wish I would have videotaped Ripley going up the steps and down the slide.
He loved them. Even the curly ones.
